You can listen to alternative and cool music, have intimate punk concerts, watch a NBA game or have a free breakfast. The last truly kind of underground place where you can meet a mix of creative people, normal people and maybe hobo maybe artist kind of people. Some Sunday’s they do the Sunday brunch and the proceeds go to charity. They have a variety of shows on the weekends as well. (Side note: Wayne Coyne the lead singer of the Flaming Lips used to frequent this place about 10 years ago and even had a confetti birthday party there ) Hilo was once the second oldest bar in OKC Est 1956. We lost a OKC staple and a national treasure. I’m sure they will turn it into some ritzy, gentrified establishment that the hilo will not be able to afford to be a tenant. However, 3/2022 investors bought the building and kicked all the tenants out. The hilo patrons were able to fend off Braums restaurant from Demolishing the building and we were able to get the building listed as a historical building. Some rich dudes bought the building and kicked them out.
